World No Tobacco Day 2018
30
May
May 31 is the annual ‘World No Tobacco Day’ and this year’s focus is on tobacco and heart disease. The campaign will increase awareness on the:
- link between tobacco, heart and other cardiovascular diseases (CVD), including stroke, which combined are the world’s leading causes of death;
- feasible actions and measures that key audiences, including governments and the public, can take to reduce the risks to heart health posed by tobacco.
APHN members are encouraged to make every day ‘World No Tobacco Day’.
